Sproutly started with a dead basil plant.
Just a $4 bunch of basil from the grocery store that lasted three days, went slimy in the fridge, and got thrown in the bin. Like it always does.
That small frustration led to a bigger question. Why is it so hard to have fresh herbs at home? Not a farm. Not a garden. Just a few fresh herbs, always there, whenever you need them.
We looked at what was available and found two options. Complicated systems that felt like lab equipment. Or cheap soil pots that died on a windowsill within a week.
Neither felt right.
So we found something better. A countertop hydroponic garden that runs itself, looks beautiful, and actually works. We called it the Sproutly GrowPod and we built a brand around the simple idea that fresh food at home should be easy, clean, and accessible to anyone regardless of whether they have a garden, a green thumb, or even a sunny window.
